Job Summary

As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the collection of outstanding balances from customers, ensuring timely and accurate billing, and maintaining detailed records of all financial transactions. This role involves initiating and following up on collections for past due accounts, generating and issuing invoices, and providing clear explanations of billing details to customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for resolving any discrepancies in remittances, ensuring that all accounts are accurately reconciled. Effective communication and attention to detail are essential to succeed in this position.

Hourly compensation range: $21-$26/hour (determined based on experience, education and knowledge).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Initiate daily collection phone calls to customers in a professional manner while building a strong customer partnership
• Collect and apply payments received through multiple sources accurately on a daily basis (mail, email, bank lockbox, phone).
• Review account balances to assess collection efforts required and execute collection steps timely and efficiently.
• Make daily collection phone calls to customers in a professional manner while building a strong customer partnership.
• Document collection activities in customer account notes
• Resolve remittance discrepancies timely.
• Identify issues contributing to account delinquency and providing solution support.
• Address customer billing inquiries and concerns (email, phone).

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office as well as other accounting software programs.
• Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

• Minimum 1 year experience in accounts receivables
