This summer’s annual Supply Chain Cargo & Security Summit, hosted by Verisk Analytics in Jersey City, New Jersey, was a solid and successful inaugural event for CargoNet and the Transportation Loss Prevention Security Association (TLP&SA). The summit featured informative speakers who were more than willing to continue discussions on hot topics even afterwards and during breaks — a testament to their true interest in industry matters.
Some of the key topics discussed were:
- The Transportation Industry and its Future in the Trump Era
- Internet of Things; Big Data’s Impact on Supply Chain Security and Insurance Risk
- How Not to Get Burned by Legal Issues; Attorneys Discuss Liability and Misclassification
- Social Media and Theft Trends; How it Aids Investigators in Solving Theft Crime
A number of security companies were in attendance in the main showroom, including Electric Guard Dog, where our demo fence was ready for action for anyone brave enough to try it. Even those who didn’t feel the shock of how well our electric security fence system works were talking about its effectiveness against crime. Check out our very own CEO Jack DeMao and others in this four-handed demonstration video.
During the off-site social event on the Yacht Cruise, our very own Joe Pisano, director of sales for the western region, was the MC for the $50,000 dice roll. Everyone there had a chance to roll six Electric Guard Dog logos to win the money. Although no one won, it was a fun contest with lots of laughter and excitement.

Electric Guard Dog is proud to sponsor CargoNet, and we look forward to participating in future summits.
